The new SMD600 Plus –MI2TM allows, in addition, the high-throughput inspection of visitors to correctional facilities or, in general, people in street clothes in a standard checkpoint divestiture situation where detection of assembled/ disassembled fi rearms and standard & miniaturized cellphones/smartphones is required with low nuisance alarm rate.

The new SMD600 Plus –MI2TM also provides a specific optical and acoustical signaling for either weapons or cellphones/
smartphones, thus facilitating the secondary inspection performed by the security operators.

The CEIA SMD 601 Plus is an extremely sensitive metal detector, capable of identifying very small metal objects anywhere on or hidden inside the body. This unit is exceptionally immune to environmental interferences and therefore suitable for deployment in a wide range of checkpoint situations.

A full-height light bar indicates the area of the body where a metal object has been detected, which speeds up manual searches after alerts and dramatically improves the throughput efficiency of a checkpoint.

This highly customisable unit has over 40 built-in security programmes and a chip card system for fast, simple and secure parameter changes and security level selection. Add-on features include outdoor use capability, anti-vandalism protection, loss prevention and backup battery.
